Federal judge says healthcare law unconstitutional

He cites the requirement to buy insurance in the ruling, the most sweeping blow yet to President Obama’s signature domestic achievement.

U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson — the second federal jurist to rule against the law — wrote that “Congress exceeded the bounds of its authority” with the buy-insurance requirement known as the “individual mandate.”

“Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional, and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void,” Vinson said.

Gov. Snyder’s corporate tax plan includes phase out of state tax credits

Snyder’s tax plan hits big firms hardest

At the same time, Snyder is expected to significantly cut back targeted tax credits such as those received by the film industry and paid to industry by the Michigan Economic Growth Authority.

Business owners, many legislators and tax opponents roundly applauded Gov. Rick Snyder’s State of the State pledge to kill the Michigan Business Tax, but another disaster looms if any time lapses before Plan B is in place.

“What you don’t want to do is eliminate the tax, then figure out how you’re going to replace it. That would be a bad strategy,” Business Leaders for Michigan President Doug Rothwell told editors of The Press on Thursday.

Apparently, the clock ran out for Keith Olbermann on Friday, January 21, 2011.  When his Count Down Clock reached it’s final minute, MSNBC and the liberal anchor ended their contract.  Though no reason has been given publicly, surely a lack of viewer ratings cannot be ignored.  Often considered the Golden Goose of MSNBC, Keith’s show had laid an egg with most non-liberal viewers at large.

Guilt or Compassion?

Lately, I really struggle with the question; why do liberals want to spend my money (for me)? Come with me as we search for the answer to this question together.

… Hey, wait a minute.  I might be on to something.  Heaven on Earth.  That’s it!  Heaven on Earth.  Liberals want to make Heaven on Earth.  Hurray!  We’re going to have Heaven on Earth.

… What?  Are you kidding me?  I’m a little embarrassed to continue.  “What a cheap ass”. Oops.  Sorry, did I say that out loud?  Strike that from the record and I’ll try to compose myself as we move on.

Do liberals want to rewrite the Bible? Some claim that they want to rewrite the U.S. Constitution.  I’m not so sure about that.  I think liberals just want to ignore the Constitution. It would be way too much work to rewrite the whole thing.  Maybe, liberals just want to ignore the Bible.  I don’t know.

Guilt.  Why do liberals (and progressives) feel so guilty?  What did they do?

Time Magazine predicted the Tea Party would soon break up like the Beatles,

but they were unable to predict who would be dating Yoko Ono.

Now Harry Reid is making a similar claim.

In an exclusive interview that aired on NBC’s “Meet the Press” this weekend, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid predicted once the nation’s economy improves, “the Tea Party will disappear.”

We’re pretty sure Harry Reid is wrong

and the New York Times is right: “No One wants to date Yoko.”
